Ottawa family studio photography sessions can be anything and almost everything you want them to be. In my new larger studio I’m finding the possibilities are practically endless for session options. My clients are loving the flexibility the space offers and I’m loving its creative potential.

Every studio family photography session is as unique as the family that books it. For this lovely family we scheduled them in for an Extraordinary Family Session. This session was perfect combining family, Easter, couple, and headshot photos into one Ottawa family studio photography session.

Little Mr. K had grown so much since his last session and was suddenly on the move. We kept the session fun and active for him becuase we all know toddlers have important places to be running to. To warm up to the camera we started with family studio photos. The white room set was ideal for their photos because we were able to easily switch from sitting to standing to crouching. Busy toddlers always do best when I keep them moving for their photos.

Parents are busy people who often find they’re not in many photos together as one parent is always on camera duty. We snuck a moment in between photos of Mr. K to capture photos of just the two of them as a couple together. These special photos are always worth making the time for during a family studio photography session. It’s not often when both parents are able to be in a photo together.

While dad entertained Mr. K mom had her updated headshots taken. Headshots are offered as standalone sessions as well but this session was the perfect opportunity to fit them in at the same time as their family photos.

Easter photos at their Ottawa family studio photography session

Every month I offer a unique set and backdrop for babies and toddlers. They make a wonderful way to mark the passing seasons and holidays and celebrate other fun childhood adventures. At the time of their session I had my Easter set available which was perfect timing for Mr. K’s Ottawa family studio photography session.

He looked absolutely adorable in his bunny ears and suspenders and thought my fun set was really exciting. After I showed him the bunnies in my set he was proud to show off to me his very own bunny stuffie. His scrunched up grin is too cute for words!
