Their family photos in the Ottawa studio was the first time I met this lovely family.
They were in need of some updated family photos as it had been several years since their last session. The studio offered the perfect setting for the look they wanted.
My family studio sessions include a combination of naturally posed and candid images. When children are on the younger side I start with a few posed photos if the family would like. But with little ones the flow of the session really depends on the children’s personalities. However toddlers and children are feeling on the day of their session though, I will be ready to adapt!

For many families my More Memories Family Session is a wonderful choice for their studio session. This 20 minute session is ideal for families who would like a variety of posed and candid moments. It’s also perfect for if you’d like different combinations of family members. This could include family photos, sibling photos, and each parent with their children. It’s also ideal for families who would like natural looking, updated photos of their children. I find school photos often end up with the children having fake or tense smiles. Adding in individual photos of the children as a part of a family session is a great way to ensure you have natural looking photos of the children as they grow.

For their family photos mom and dad wanted a very clean, classic look. Together we selected my white room set as a backdrop to their photos. They chose light coloured outfits which was ideal for the white set. I love how the family and their smiling faces are what stands out most in their photos.
The boys were really great and so much fun to have in the studio. They very quickly warmed up to me and were really good at posing for the camera. The best thing, as always, is that they thought I was hilarious. That never gets old for me (or my clients!). We had a great time in the studio together and I’m thrilled to have been able to help them with their updated family photos.
