Winter Sessions with an Ottawa Family Photographer. Booking a winter photo session is basically a time capsule of all the good parts of winter—minus the shovelling. One day, you’ll look back and remember the hours spent layering up your kids, the giggles from snowball fights, the lopsided snowmen, and the sledding adventures. It’s hard to cherish those moments when you’re knee-deep in slush, but these photos will remind you why winter is magical (even if it’s also freezing). Plus, they’re proof you survived it all with a smile—eventually.

How do I book my session?

Booking your session is simple and can be completed online through my boutique.

What types of photos can these sessions be used for?

These sessions are for family photos, couple photos, maternity photos, sibling photos, headshots, and if you have a winter sport loving family, it’s a great chance for photos of them in their gear (e.g., skiing, hockey).

These sessions are designed for immediate family members only (parents and their children). At this time, I do not offer sessions for extended family groups (e.g., grandparents, cousins)

Do I have to pay the session fee in full?

No, a session deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due the day your session is scheduled.

What are the session options?

  • 10-Minute Winter Moment Session ($299 + HST)
    Includes 5 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and 2 gift prints.
  • 20 Minute Winter Memories Session ($399 + HST)
  • Includes 10 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and 3 gift prints.
  • This is the best option for maternity photos and for photos in winter or sports gear (e.g., changing outfits, action shots)

When will the sessions take place?

On Saturdays in January, February, and March. Back up dates (Sundays) are used in the event of extreme weather (e.g., blizzard, -40 temperatures).

What types of photos will we take during the session?

You can choose from posed, candid, or a mix of both. Before your session, you’ll fill out a detailed questionnaire to ensure I capture the moments and poses that matter most to you and your family.
