Newborn Photography Ottawa | Digital art. Living in Ottawa means we get to enjoy four very dramatic seasons. It also means we don’t have access to lush greenery and outdoor gardens for newborn photos all year. Even when the flowers finally bloom, it’s often too hot for babies to be outside for a long period of time.
To give families something unique without relying on the weather, I’ve added digital art to my newborn sessions. It’s a fun option for anyone who wants a few extra special images in their gallery. As an add on, families can choose from my collection of more than one hundred digital backdrops. There are baskets overflowing with flowers, delicate wreaths, and beautiful outdoor scenes. It’s like having a secret garden at my fingertips, even in the middle of February.
Digital art is also a great way to create whimsical images safely. Newborns should never be hung or suspended from props, no matter how cute the final idea might look. With digital backdrops, we can achieve those eye catching images without putting baby in any risky positions. For the last image in this gallery, I photographed baby lying comfortably on a blanket, then combined that photo with a digital wreath. The result looks magical, but baby stayed cozy and secure the entire time.
Newborn photography in Ottawa doesn’t have to depend on perfect weather or perfect gardens. With a little creativity and a lot of digital magic, we can create beautiful, memorable images in any season. And honestly, it’s pretty fun to bring a bit of spring to life while the snowbanks are still taller than I am.
