Maternity Photoshoot Ottawa | Spring. There may be several feet of snow outside right now, but my brain has already skipped ahead to spring maternity photos. Spring is one of the most popular times of year for a maternity photoshoot in Ottawa because of the blossoms, tulips, and lilacs: everything feels fresh and full of possibility after long, dark winter.
I was especially excited for this session because I’ve photographed this family before. I met their daughter as a newborn, then saw them again for her first birthday. We even did her birthday photos in the same garden, which made returning for their maternity photos a year later was so special. There is something incredibly sweet about watching a family grow and getting to document each chapter.
We explored the garden together, stopping whenever we found fresh flowers. The whole session felt relaxed and joyful, which is exactly what I want for every maternity photoshoot I photograph in these beautiful Ottawa gardens. Pregnancy goes by so quickly, and capturing these memories in a beautiful setting makes them even more special.
