Every newborn session starts well before you arrive at the studio. We talk through colours, styling, and the overall look you love. We also discuss poses and any images that feel especially meaningful to you. This planning helps me understand your vision and prepare carefully for your baby’s session.
Planning ahead removes stress on the day of your newborn photoshoot. You do not need to make decisions while adjusting to life with a new baby: your session flows smoothly and everyone can relax.
That said, there is one very important detail to remember. On the day of the session, the baby is the boss.
For this little guy, his mom sent inspiration poses ahead of time. I loved them and planned for them but when we tried a few of those poses, he made it clear he was not comfortable. I gave him time, offered his soother, and moved slowly and gently. When it was clear he was still unsettled, we changed direction.
My priority during every newborn photography session is your baby’s comfort and safety. Beautiful photos matter, but a calm and happy baby matters more. I never force a pose and I always follow the baby’s cues. When a baby feels relaxed, it shows in the images.
In the end, we always create beautiful newborn photos. They reflect your baby’s personality. They feel natural and peaceful and they show comfort and connection.
