Yes, REALLY! Older children and teens are brilliantly honest, insightful, and I love hearing their observations about the world.

Perfect. I love working with children and teens who want to avoid cheesy poses and fake smiles and who just want to be themselves, attitude and all.

I’m a parent of a tween and teens, a former therapist, and I’ve photographed over 6000 sessions. I have seen and heard it all. Trust me.
As our children grow older it can be challenging to capture just who they are. These years can be fraught with intense emotions, uncertainty, and self-consciousness, which is why these sessions are so important. Every child and teen deserves to have beautiful photographs of themselves that represent who they really and truly are.
When and where will sessions take place?
Extraordinary You Sessions are scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, March 23rd and the morning of Saturday, April 13th at my Orleans studio.
Who are the sessions for?
Extraordinary You Sessions are available to teens and children 6+. Sessions can include sibling photographs (not family photos).
What are the session options?
There are four sessions you can choose from. If you have no idea which one is the best fit for your family, email us and let us help you choose!
1) 10 minute Moment Session (reg $259+hst) SAVE $25 when you book by March 1st!
- For one teen/child 6+ on one backdrop (one outfit).
- Session includes 3 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and black & white as well as 2 gift prints (available sizes are wallets (8), 4×6, 5×7, or 8×10).
2) 15 minute Memories Session (reg $349+hst) SAVE $35 when you book by March 1st!
- For one teen/child 6+ on one backdrop (two outfits) OR for two siblings (one backdrop, one outfit)
- Session includes sibling photos.
- Session includes 5 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and black & white as well as 3 gift prints (available sizes are wallets (8), 4×6, 5×7, or 8×10).
3) 20 minute More Memories Session (reg $399+hst) SAVE $45 when you book by March 1st!
- For one teen/child 6+ (two backdrops, two outfits) OR for two siblings (two backdrops or two outfits) OR for three-four siblings (one backdrop and one outfit).
- Session includes sibling photos.
- Can also be used for photos of one child with a special interest (e.g. musical instrument, sports equipment).
- Session includes 8 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and black & white as well as 3 gift prints (available sizes are wallets (8), 4×6, 5×7, or 8×10).
4) 40 minute Extraordinary Session (reg $749+hst) SAVE $75 when you book by March 1st!
- For one teen/child 6+ with multiple outfits, backdrops, and with special interests (e.g. musical instrument, sports equipment).
- For sibling groups of two to four children/teens with two different backdrops or two different outfits.
- Session includes sibling photos.
- Perfect for graduation photos.
- Session includes 14 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and black & white as well as 6 gift prints (available sizes are wallets (8), 4×6, 5×7, or 8×10).
How do I book my session?
You can book your session online starting on February 13th in my boutique here by selecting your approximate session time slot. Sign up to The List and the booking links will be sent straight to your inbox.
Do I have to pay for my session fee in full?
No. A session deposit is required to secure your session. The balance for your session is paid the week your session is scheduled to take place.
Can we use the session for grad photos?
Absolutely! We have caps and gowns in the studio closet for tweens and teens to use.
What types of photos do you take during our session?
Posed, candid, both…it’s up to you! My clients fill out a detailed questionnaire before our time together so I know what photos and poses are most important to you and your child(ren) as well as your preferred backdrop(s).
What if my child or teen hates dressing up?
Let them choose their own clothes. They will be more at ease and invested in the session if they have a sense of control over what the photos look like.
We know we want photos but have no idea exactly what kind of photos we want. What should we do?
