Do I really need a professional headshot photo?

Since 2020, it has become even more important to have a professional image you can use online. If you’re on the fence about getting updated photos taken, here are some of the reasons you might want to consider when it comes to deciding if it’s time to have a professional headshot photo taken:

  • Your current headshot image was cropped from a wedding or vacation photo
  • Your coworkers or business contacts wouldn’t recognize you if they met you after seeing your current photo
  • You have substantially changed your appearance since your last photo was taken
  • You have a new role (work or volunteer) and need to convey a different message to clients, coworkers or stakeholders

This Winter we have an Ottawa Headshot Photo Promotion for our clients who need an updated image to use in a variety of online profiles but aren’t looking for a full photography session experience.

Where: Sara McConnell Photography Studio

When: On four Saturdays this Winter/Spring (January 27th, February 24th, March 23rd, April 13th).

Who: For all professionals, students, and volunteers.

What: A micro headshot session for individuals looking for 1-2 new images. Backdrop options are cream, light grey, bright white, and white.

There are two session options:

  1. Option 1 (SALE $159+hst, reg $199). Your session fee includes
    • 10 minute long session with an experienced professional
    • One look / outfit
    • Use of one backdrop
    • Session planning, including wardrobe selection
    • 1 edited and retouched high resolution digital image in colour and black and white, chosen by you from a gallery of approximately 15 images
  2. Option 2 (SALE $199+hst, reg $249). Your session fee includes:
    • 15 minute long session with an experienced professional
    • Two looks / outfits on one backdrop OR one look / outfit on two backdrops
    • Session planning, including wardrobe selection
    • 2 edited and retouched high resolution digital images in colour and black and white, chosen by you from a gallery of approximately 25 images
