Nested Acres Flower Farm. Every year I spend dozens of hours location scouting in and around the Ottawa area. I always want my clients to have different session locations to choose from. For this reason, I was thrilled when Danielle, owner of Nested Acres Flower Farm, reached out to me. In June, I visited the property for the first time. In August, I returned for family sessions with my clients.
Flower beds filled with a variety of different flowers adorn all around Nested Acres Flower Farm. The gardens are nestled beside the beautiful barn. There are farmers fields and forest trails just on the other side of the property. The paths throughout the gardens mean you can get up close and personal with all the beautiful and colourful blooms.
Bouquets & Workshops
Danielle offers a variety of different services. She sells fresh cut bouquets at local outdoor markets, as well as monthly bouquet subscriptions. She also offers DIY wedding floral buckets for clients who want to create their own arrangements for their special day. In addition, Danielle also offers build your own bouquet workshops at the farm. The workshops are a great outing with friends to celebrate a birthday or “just because”.
Owning a farm is a labour of love. You can tell as soon as you step onto the property, how much effort Danielle and her family have put into creating their garden oasis. The barn has been updated and decorated with new flooring, lights, and antique furniture. There are different varieties of flowers blooming in the gardens throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Private Location for Photo Sessions
The farm was a beautiful backdrop for some of my Summer photo sessions. Firstly, the location is private property, which means only one family is present at a time while their photos are taken. Secondly, there are also so many different options for photos, from the gardens, to the barn, to the fences, to the trails and fields. It’s a fantastic location for engagement, family, maternity, couple, or baby photo sessions.
You can see the beautiful bouquets Danielle creates on Instagram. To purchase a bouquet, a bouquet subscription, or book a workshop, reach out to Danielle via her website.
