2023 Holiday Sessions A Different Kind of Session Experience

While Holiday mini sessions are a fast and budget friendly option for some families, the holiday sessions we offer aren’t mini sessions. Holiday mini sessions are “one size fits all” sessions that don’t involve customized session planning, client-directed retouching, or a dedicated session coordinator for wardrobe planning, session styling, and arranging session accomodations.

Our Limited Edition Holiday Sessions include:

  • The experience and expertise of a professional photographer with over 12 years of experience (6000+ sessions) as well as a session assistant
  • A weekend session date
  • Custom built one of a kind sets
  • Multiple sets and session options
  • Custom session planning services including wardrobe selection, styling your session, and choosing the poses and types of photos that are the most important to you and your family
  • Gaps between sessions so families can transition smoothly in and out of the studio without using up their session time
  • Professional prints AND digital images that you choose
  • Professional editing and retouching to your specifications
  • Gallery and digital image delivery that exceeds industry standards
  • Prints and printed products delivered to your door

(1) Moment Session

  • Use of ONE unique set, no outfit changes
  • 10 minute long session for (1) one child (2) 2 siblings (3) family of 3
  • Session fee ($290+HST) includes 3 edited, retouched, and artistically enhanced digital images in colour as well as 2 gift prints that are delivered to your home

(2) Memories Session

  • Use of ONE unique set, no outfit changes
  • 15 minute long session for (1) families of 4-5 OR (2) 3-4 siblings
  • Session fee ($385+HST) includes 5 edited, retouched, and artistically enhanced digital images in colour as well as 3 gift prints that are delivered to your home

(3) More Memories Session

  • Use of TWO unique sets + outfit changes
  • 20 minute long session for (1) families of 5-6 or (2) families of 2-5 people who would like to use two sets
  • Session fee ($475+HST) includes 8 edited, retouched, and artistically enhanced digital images in colour as well as 4 gift prints that are delivered to your home

(4) Extraordinary Session

  • Use of THREE sets + outfit changes
  • 30 minute long session for (1) families of 5-6 or (2) families of 2-5 people who would like to use two or three sets and who like a longer session time
  • Session fee ($725+HST) includes 10 edited, retouched, and artistically enhanced digital images in colour as well as 5 gift prints that are delivered to your home

Session dates:

Saturday, November 4th, 11th and 25th.

This year we are offering a very limited number of sessions. Last year there was a substantial amount of postponed sessions due to illness with 45-60% of sessions on each day needing to be rescheduled, and often multiple times. To ensure we are able to maintain our high level of service we will be offering only a third of the usual number of sessions. We hope to be able to open more session dates once Fall Sessions have begun and we have a better understanding of Fall illness rates in Ottawa (flu, covid, RSV).

Holiday Wonderland

  • This set is for for babies, children & families
  • Adults and children can stand and sit on this set (there are a variety of stools and seating in whites and neutrals)
  • This set, which occupies the corner of a room, is large and works well for posed portraits as well as candid moments (reading holiday books, dancing, hanging an ornament on the tree)
  • The set works well with both casual and formal styles of clothing

Holiday Evergreen

  • This set is for for babies, children & families
  • This set is best suited for posed portraits
  • The tree can be easily moved if families prefer a neutral green backdrop
  • Adults and children can stand and sit on this set (the tree is 7 feet tall)
  • The set works best with neutral (light or dark) coloured clothing, holiday prints, or red and green outfits that match the decorations and backdrop

Holiday Lights

  • This set is only for babies, children and teens (no family photos)
  • Perfect for light coloured holiday wear or festive pyjamas
  • These special sessions take place in a dark studio. If your child is afraid of the dark or is sensitive to new and different environments, this session is not the best choice for them.
