Digital Backdrops For Newborn Sessions | In the land of ice and snow…
….we don’t have many opportunities to take newborns outside for artistic newborn photos. Nor do we have an abundance of beautiful greenery and flowers year round in Canada. It’s either too hot, too cold, too brown, or too “something” (windy? Rainy?) to make outdoor newborn sessions an easy endeavour, which is why I’m SO grateful for digital newborn art.
What is digital newborn art?
I have a collection of over 100 digital backdrops. These backdrops can be combined with photos from a client’s newborn session to create one of a kind images. From flowers in every colour, to beach scenes, to whimsical forest settings, as well as water colour paintings. I continue to add to my collection to provide clients who are interested in a whimsical or themed image, with plenty of options to choose from.
Clients who are interested in adding custom digital art to their session, choose 1 or more digital backdrops from my gallery. During the session I take a photo of their baby using the light and colour I need to closely match the digital art image they’ve chosen. Following the session I can combine the two images into a final work of art. These photos are popular for birth announcements as well as large prints and canvases for nurseries. The backdrops often match the theme or colours clients have chosen for their baby’s room.
