Ottawa Spring Newborn Session | “I have an idea for our newborn session!”
Our clients have creative and fantastic ideas for ways they want to make their newborn session unique to their family. Sometimes this involves commemorating an important part of their history or culture. Celebrating a favourite season or holiday; recreating a photo from a previous session or their own childhood; or including a meaningful memento or prop into their session.
When it comes to planning something special for a newborn session, we always ask clients what their ideas are ahead of time so that:
-we can make sure the idea / item is safe
-we have any other items or materials on hand to execute a particular photo
-my team can collaborate to come up with creative ways to bring their idea to life
-we can plan out how we are going to achieve the shot. Sometimes I need to combine multiple photos into one final image.
For this baby girl’s session her mom wanted to incorporate greenery into her session. Her brother’s newborn photos happened in the Winter. For his session our colour palette was much darker and richer for the Winter season. For her much more Spring-like Ottawa newborn session, our colour palette was light and fresh with lots of florals.
