Ottawa maternity photos in my studio can be anything you want them to be. The possibilities for backdrops, poses, outfits, and style are practically endless. It was a joy creating just the right look for this gorgeous mom-to-be’s maternity session. She looked absolutely radiant!
For her maternity session, we styled it to include dad and the big brother-to-be as well. The 20 minute More Memories Session they chose was perfect for capturing a few special memories from her pregnancy both with the family and on her own.
Before her maternity session, we asked the family questions about the type of photos they enjoy, preferred backdrops, and what outfits mom would like to wear. Once we knew more about the look they wanted for their photos and mom’s style we were ready to put everything together for her Ottawa studio maternity session.
Their Ottawa studio maternity session
We started off their session together with photos of the family together. Mom borrowed a gorgeous yellow gown from my client closet that looked stunning on her. The fit and colour of the gown was perfect for her and showed off her baby belly beautifully. The big brother-to-be and dad were very handsomely dressed for their photos in matching button-up shirts and khakis. I love the colour combination they chose for their Ottawa studio maternity photos!
As I posed and photographed this lovely family together, I chatted with the excited big brother-to-be. He is very ready for his new role and will be a great help when baby arrives. Once big brother was all finished in the studio, I took a moment to photograph the happy couple for tranquil portraits together. I’m so excited for them to be welcoming their baby soon, they can’t wait for baby to arrive!
For the mom-to-be’s individual maternity photos, we planned for a combination of photos. Both gowned photos in that incredible yellow dress she had chosen as well as photos of her draped in a silky grey fabric. The silky fabric we had selected for her was ideal for creating a dramatic photo of her with the fabric flowing behind her. Her photos turned out incredibly and I’m thrilled with her gallery of beautiful memories.
