This Fall has seen unprecedented amounts of illness in our community requiring me to reschedule over 40% of my Holiday Sessions. In order to make all of the rescheduled sessions possible, I have canceled my travel plans and can now also add ONE more new outdoor session in 2022. This November, I am offering Evergreen Sessions for families who would love their photos against the beautiful, rich green backdrop of coniferous trees.
Can grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles come to the session?
Sessions are for immediate family members only (parents and their children). At this time I do not offer sessions for extended family members.
How do I book my session?
Booking your session can all be done online in my boutique starting now.
Do I have to pay for my session fee in full?
No. A session deposit is required to secure your session. The balance for your session is paid the week your session is scheduled to take place.
What are the session options?
There are two session options:
- 10 minute Moment Session ($275+HST)–For families of three people or less. Includes 3 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and 2 complimentary gift prints of your choice.
- 15 minute Memories Session ($375+HST)–For families of four people or more. Includes 5 edited and retouched digital images of your choice in colour and 3 complimentary gift prints of your choice.
What is the date for Evergreen Sessions?
Sessions take place in the afternoon of Saturday, November 26th (backup date of November 27th).
What types of photos do you take during our session?
Posed, candid, both…it’s up to you! My clients fill out a detailed questionnaire before our time together so I know what photos and poses are most important to you and your family.
Where will the sessions take place?
I choose all session locations based on accessibility, safety, and available light and backdrops. Sessions take place in the central to east end of Ottawa. Clients are provided with the specific meeting place the day before the session.
What happens if it’s raining on the day of our session?
I make the decision to postpone sessions based on satellite images and whether it will be actively raining or heavily snowing at the time of our session. This decision is made 1.5-2 hours before the session. Sessions are not rescheduled due to temperature, wet ground, overcast sky, etc.
If sessions are postponed due to rain (or heavy snow) your session will take place at the same time it was originally scheduled but on Sunday, November 27th. If there is inclement weather anticipated on your rain date / time you will be offered one alternate session date / time. There are no exceptions to this policy. If you cannot be present at the listed backup date and someone cannot be found to take your place your session fee will not be refunded nor can it be applied to a future session.
What if we are sick on the day of our session?
Sessions will be postponed if anyone in your household is:
- sick at the time of your session
- under isolation
All clients will complete a screening questionnaire before their session.
Do you still offer distanced sessions?
Your preferences for distance/masking will be asked during the session planning process. We offer clients three options:
- Sessions with no contact between our team and your family (distanced at all times)
- Sessions with masked contact (our team) with your family (unmasked)
- Sessions with unmasked contact
Will my edited photos and/or prints be ready before the holidays?
You will be provided with a viewing gallery within 72 hours of your session. The gallery will be available for 3 days and once your selections have been made you will receive the final digital images, via digital download, in 3-5 business days.
Due to the increased volume of print orders and mail during the lead up to the holidays, I cannot guarantee that you will have your print products before the holidays. Digital holiday cards that can be shared through email will be available.
