Family photo sessions held under this gorgeous bridge were magical! I was told there were no trolls under it but some of the kiddos swore they spotted a fairy.
Every year I have favourite and much-loved locations I offer family sessions at. Each year I also like to add a few new locations for my clients to choose from. This year, one of my new locations in the Summer was a beautiful stone bridge just west of Ottawa. It was a popular new session and I completely understand why. The beautiful natural backdrop of the river combined with a quaint, stone bridge was an ideal setting for families with children of many different ages. Families with babes in arms, school aged children, teens, and even furry, four-legged children all loved under the bridge as a location for their family photos.
Sessions under the bridge started with cuddle family photos together but quickly turned into an adventure. In between photos, we searched for fairies, listened closely for trolls, and scoured the shallow water for minnows. As we chatted while I took their photos we were able to turn the location from a photo backdrop to a magical setting. With everyone’s imaginations working hard there were lots of giggles and smiles. Anyone who says photo sessions aren’t fun has clearly never tried a family photo session under the bridge.
Candid family photos under the bridge
The bridge was perfect for those who enjoy including candid photos as a part of their session. Candid photos show family members interacting and acting naturally rather than looking at the camera and smiling. Photos of family members hugging, walking, playing, or even just sitting around relaxing together are all beautiful moments to capture on camera. Candid types of photos are ideal for reminding us of our life at a particular point in time and a great way to freeze time, if only in our memories. Thank you to all the amazing families who came out for family photos under the bridge and made beautiful memories with their loved ones.
