It’s hard to believe this was our third newborn session together. I first met these amazing parents at their son’s maternity session. I’m thrilled to have been capturing all of their special memories ever since then.
We of course met up for a special maternity session during their last trimester while waiting for baby to arrive. Check out their maternity session held at the Arboretum here! Every baby’s pregnancy is exciting and a maternity session is a beautiful way to capture that excitement.
Having seen me so recently also meant big brother and big sister were especially familiar with me. When they came into the studio for our third newborn session they were so excited to show off their baby sister. Baby A is absolutely adorable and both children are already head over heels in love with her.
Our Third Newborn Session Together
For their first family photo as a family of five I set them up together snuggled in closely to the newest addition of their family. Everyone is very much in love already with Baby A. The way the family was looking at her while I photographed them made my heart feel as if it would burst with joy. I am so happy for them to have welcomed their new baby.
The sibling photos at our third newborn session together went off without a hitch. Big brother and sister were eager to lay down and cuddle with their baby sister and the photos of them together are too cute for words. The children were so keen and such great posers it wasn’t long before they were all done and headed out of the studio with dad.
For Miss A’s individual portraits at their third newborn session I had selected some of my favourite props to pose her in. As I moved her from prop to prop and wrapped her in different coloured swaddles she would sometimes rouse from her nap. Third newborn babies never seem to want to sleep away their whole session. There is a lot to miss out on when you’re baby number three! I took the opportunity to photograph Baby A both asleep and awake. Her eyes were already so alert and bright.
She is absolutely perfect and I can wait to see her again at our next session together.
