Their family focused newborn photo session was all about celebrating their love for each other and their newest family member. Their first session was big sister’s newborn session just over two years ago. She has grown so much, she is definitely ready to be a big sister!
Big sister is only two years old but she was an incredible help at her baby brother’s newborn session. She was happy to sit next to her baby brother and to pose for family photos. She also thought I was pretty funny when I was playing behind the camera which is something I always appreciate. There were lots of adorable moments that morning at their family focused newborn photo session. The moment that had us oohing and aahing the most though had to have been when Miss V kissed the top of her baby brother’s head. She is so sweet and gentle with him already.
Because their session was a family focused newborn photo session we made sure that everyone had lots of time to snuggle Baby M for photos. Baby M was really relaxed and sleepy for his session. He didn’t mind at all being passed around from one set of arms to another. He snoozed away as I posed him in mom’s and dad’s arms with barely a stir when I moved him. Baby M must be a great snuggler at home, he’s such a sweetie. I wouldn’t ever want to put him down!
His posing cushion portraits
Once everyone had a turn posing and cuddling with Mr. M for his family focused newborn photo session it was time for portraits of their newest family member. Mom and dad opted to have his individual newborn photos taken on my posing cushion. I draped the posing cushion with soft baby blue fabric and settled him onto the layers of cushions. He was so relaxed he fell right back to asleep as I positioned him for his photos. As I photographed him he had the tiniest little sleep smiles that I was thrilled to capture on camera for his parents.
