Ottawa lifestyle newborn photos are ideal for families who would like candid and natural photos with their new baby. I first met these new parents at their maternity session just a few short weeks ago. I was so excited for them and couldn’t wait to meet their little girl at their newborn session.
Their maternity session was a lovely mix of outdoor photos with their four legged friend and lifestyle studio photos. We continued mixing it up for their newborn session. We planned to start with lifestyle family photos and then to finish up with posing cushion newborn photos of their baby.
For their lifestyle newborn photos I set up my white room set in my Ottawa studio. The light and airy white room is perfect for a lifestyle session. I love to use it for maternity, newborn, baby, family, and even headshot sessions. When the couple mentioned wanting lifestyle photos again, but this time with their baby, I knew my white room would be just the right look.
When she arrived at the studio for her newborn session Baby R was fast asleep and oh, so very cute! She has adorable delicate features and the sweetest face. As planned, we started with their family photos first in my white room set. Mom and dad cuddled and spent time loving on her as I photographed them altogether. The best part about lifestyle newborn photos is that parents get to look down at their sweet baby for much of their photos. Parents always have the proudest and happiest looks on their faces and I just love being able to capture those powerful feelings on camera.
After their Ottawa lifestyle newborn photos
Once we had finished up in the white room mom and dad were free to relax and rest. The second half of their lifestyle newborn session was to be held on my posing cushion. For Baby R’s individual photos mom and dad had selected pink fabrics and accessories on the posing cushion.
The posing cushion was ideal for sweet and sleepy newborn photos of Baby R. She looked so peaceful sleeping away on the pink fabrics and was absolutely adorable all wrapped up in fabrics. Baby R was a joy to photograph and I’m thrilled for her parents to have welcome her into their family.
