Her maternity session at the Ottawa Arboretum was full of happy smiles and beautiful memories with her family. I have been lucky enough to photograph this incredible family since their son’s maternity session. Many sessions and soon-to-be three children later here we are awaiting the arrival of their third baby.

I am thrilled for them to be expecting their newest little one soon and can’t wait to meet them at their newborn session this Summer.

We met up in the Ottawa Arboretum in early June for their maternity session. The Arboretum is a location that I love to use for sessions in the Spring. Long before other locations in Ottawa turn lush the Arboretum fills with greenery and leaves. On their day of their maternity session we were even lucky enough to have a lilac bush that was holding onto it’s beautiful blooms.

Big brother and sister are always up for a fun time whenever we have a session. We’ve gotten to know each other quite well from our sessions together so it’s always great to catch up. These kiddos are growing so quickly. I can’t believe Miss I is graduating to big sister status soon!

A family centered maternity session at the Ottawa Arboretum

For some maternity sessions we focus mainly on the mom-to-be. And for other maternity sessions we plan for more of a focus on family photos. This soon-to-be family of five wanted more of a family centered maternity session at the Ottawa Arboretum.

After we met up I started with their family photos. Their last family photos were at their Holiday Session and with the children growing so quickly I agreed it was definitely time for updated family photos.

We played and chatted as I photographed this lovely family together. The children were excellent posers and more than happy to cuddle up mom and dad for photos. They did such a good job and seem to be really excited to be adding to their family soon.

We ended the kiddos’ part in their session on a high note with lots of smiles and laughter. Before everyone headed out for the evening we took a quiet moment to capture maternity portraits of just the beautiful mom-to-be. She looked absolutely gorgeous at her maternity session at the Ottawa Arboretum and I can’t wait to meet their baby soon!
