Ottawa Family Photos With Flowers

Ottawa family photos with flowers in the Spring is a beautiful way to capture family memories. The Spring offers us wildflowers, lilacs, and beautiful irises as a backdrop for family photos. I had so much fun exploring all of the different locations with Spring flowers this year. Flowers bloom differently every year so I never know exactly what will be in bloom at what time. This means that I am location scouting throughout the Spring looking for locations and buds on plants. Mother Nature never fails to keep me guessing. I was overjoyed to find late blooming lilac bushes this early June. The next best part was that the bushes were near gardens with irises and other early Spring flowers. We had so many beautiful flowers to explore for their Ottawa family photos with flowers sessions!

After exploring many locations and seeing wildflowers wilting earlier than expected I was thrilled to find so many gorgeous lilacs still in bloom. But Mother Nature kept me guessing up until the last minute. On the day of sessions the forecast had been changing all day long. By the afternoon the forecast had thankfully cleared. We were all excited that sessions would be going ahead as planned.

I had a lovely mix of returning families and new clients to photograph. It’s amazing getting to reconnect with families and watch their children grow up from behind my camera. I also love to meet new families from our city. Ottawa is a great place to raise children, mainly because of the wonderful people and our sense of community. Meeting more families and people is a great joy and one of the best parts of my job.

During their sessions we chatted and laughed as we posed and played amongst the pretty flowers and gardens. There were lots of young children at the sessions so we kept moving to keep their shorter attention spans happy. Lots of interaction with parents and exploring different flowers meant everyone had fun in front of the camera. I love that I was able to capture on camera so much happiness at their Ottawa family photos with flowers sessions.
