What a perfect early Ottawa Spring newborn session!
This sweet baby boy and his family came into the studio for their first photos as a family of four together. Their baby boy was just two weeks old on the day of his early Spring newborn session and he couldn’t have been cuter.
Little Mr. D’s big sister was a sweetie herself and not quite two years old yet. Having a baby sibling in the house is especially exciting when you’re a toddler. Big sister was full of excitement for posing with her new brother. She was more than happy to smile and pose with baby.
Planning their early Ottawa Spring newborn session
Mom and dad had chosen a very light colour palette throughout their outfits, backdrops, and newborn fabrics. This gave a beautiful Spring feel and look to their gallery of photos. Everything tied in beautifully together and was ideal for an early Ottawa Spring newborn session.
I’m happy to style a session for my clients either with just the colours and look they’d like, or I can take the lead with choosing poses, colours, etc. It’s entirely up to each family how much they’d like to select for their session. This family did an amazing job with their planning. I loved tying together everything that they wanted into a session plan for them. I was as excited to see the final product as much as the family themselves.
After big sister was finished at their early Ottawa Spring newborn session she was free to head out and play with dad. I turned up the temperature in the studio and started to work on Mr. D’s newborn portraits.
For his first photos, mom and dad selected a combination of image types for his photos. They chose photos of him posed on the posing cushion as well as curled up in newborn sized props. We continued the light pastels and light neutrals in his individual newborn photos. The light creams, blue and whites looked wonderful on him. He has such a sweet little face and looked so peaceful snoozing away for his photos.
Congratulations to this lovely family of four! It was a joy to help them capture these special memories at their early Ottawa Spring newborn session.
