Studio and Outdoor Maternity Photos

Studio and outdoor maternity photos can both be included in my Extraordinary Maternity Session. Some of my maternity clients would like studio as well as outdoor photos. I’m happy to style just the right session for all of my clients. A combination studio-outdoor maternity session that included their dog was the perfect fit for this lovely family.

Whenever possible I love to include clients’ four-legged family members at their session. Holding this expectant couple’s maternity session partly outdoors meant we were to include some photos of them enjoying time together with their dog.

Before heading outside we started indoors for lifestyle maternity photos of the couple. Lifestyle maternity photos capture candid, un-posed photographs of families and couples with their upcoming arrival. It’s quite a different look than the more posed photos we finished off with at their studio portion of their session. I really love the closeness of the couple captured in their lifestyle photos and of their connection with their baby. They’re so excited to meet their little one soon.

Before heading outdoors to meet up with their pup I turned on my bright white dream light for photos of the stunning mom-to-be with just her belly. She is absolutely glowing! My lacy white gown and the soft pink fabric draped across her perfect belly was beautiful against the dreamy white light.

Studio and Outdoor Maternity Photos: Heading Outside

For the last part of their maternity session we met up at a nearby trail for photos with their dog. Their dog thought this bonus walk was a wonderful idea. He was so excited to be at the trail! Once the excitement had settled a bit he participated in the session like a champ. He even nosed up to mom’s baby belly for sweet photos of them together. I can’t even imagine what he must be thinking of with her growing belly, he is going to be so surprised when their baby arrives soon.
