Wearing Mom’s wedding gown for a photography session is not only fun but a beautiful memento for both mom and daughter.
A wedding dress session is ideal for children who love to get dressed up. The dress up stage of childhood is fleeting but this session was an amazing way to hold onto it forever. This sweet little girl was very excited to be able to wear mom’s wedding gown. She was full of smiles and giggles at our session together. Miss M had clearly been looking forward to this session for awhile!
With Mom’s wedding gown a true white, we had selected a classic grey backdrop for her photos. The full length of the backdrop meant we were able to spread the dress out for beautiful photos of Miss M surrounded by the layers of fabric.
Once we had taken photos of her standing in the dress, we changed things up to see what fun poses she could do in the long dress. Miss M was more than happy to be creative with me, she was a great little poser.
Props for wearing with Mom’s wedding gown
Mom had brought along her wedding headpiece as well as her wedding shoes to the session. They were the perfect props for the session and made it an extra special experience for Miss M.
The studio has a full length mirror that we were also able to incorporate into her session for her. She was so excited when she saw how beautiful she looked in her mom’s wedding dress.
This session was such a wonderful idea that mom had. I am thrilled with the photos and so glad I was able to help bring her idea to life. Mother and daughter had so much fun creating these special memories together and they will forever treasure them.
