Teens and Winter family photography sessions are a wonderful combination. I have found that teens love dressing for sessions in the Winter and really don’t mind the cold. Babies and toddlers are not be the best at smiling and having fun in the cold. On the other hand, some of the most fun we’ve had at outdoor sessions with older kids and teens has been in the snow. Fluffy and fresh white snow is not only a lot of fun to play and walk in, it’s also impossible to argue the beauty of a snow covered forest.
I have been photographing this amazing family for over ten years. They’re an adventurous and outdoorsy family who loves to ski. I knew the snow and chillier temperatures were not going to discourage them from having a good time.
The teens showed up at their Winter family photography session in a great mood and as excellent sports. A family photography session is not exactly at the top of most teens’ favourite activity lists. As a parent of two teens I can assure you that they have told me that they have way more exciting things to do. Having my own teens though means that I always truly appreciate my teen clients’ good spirits and participation.
Teens and Winter family photography Sessions: the best part
The best part of a session with teens is always when they end up having WAY more fun than they thought they would. I keep my sessions fast and fun for older kids and teens just like I do for the toddler set. Spending time with your family making memories in front of the camera doesn’t have to hard or unpleasant. We had a great time together capturing updated Winter family photos for this fun loving family. It has been so much fun watching these teens grow up in front of my camera. I can’t wait to see where our next family photography session takes us.
