Giggly Ottawa Photography Session

Giggly Ottawa Photography Session: when planning this photography session everyone having fun was really important to mom. I can still hear the girls’ giggles when I look at their photos so it’s safe to say: mission accomplished!

For most of my family sessions I suggest a 20 minute More Memories Session. For families who would like several different outfits and backdrops I also offer 40 minute Extraordinary Sessions. These longer sessions are ideal for when you want a variety of different types of photos. Birthdays, graduations, and photos for sports and extracurriculars are popular as Extraordinary Sessions.

These girls were ready to play and laugh when they arrived for their session and their beautiful giggly smiles show it. A February session was ideal for sweet Valentine’s Day photos in red and pink with mom and for playful photos amongst sisters. The chilly Ottawa temperatures made my warm and cozy studio the best choice for an Extraordinary Photography Session that day. It’s a lot easier to smile and feel giggly when you’re feeling warm and comfortable indoors.

Giggly Ottawa Photography Session Planning

Before their session we talked with mom to choose which outfits and poses they’d like to include so that we could have everything ready ahead of time. This meant that I had all of the different backdrops ready and planned for each type of photo they’d like. It’s so nice to have all of the planning done ahead of time so that you can relax and enjoy the photography session experience with your family. The fun and laughter they all had together at their session is something they will always remember.

Once we had finished up taking their Valentine’s Day photos the girls were excited to change into their fun unicorn hoodies and then into their gymnastics leos.

A lot of sports and other extracurriculars in Ottawa have had to cancel their photography services during Covid. We included gymnastics poses for each girl so that they could each have a wonderful memento from their favourite sport.

Before we wrapped up their giggly Ottawa photography session we sent the girls to change once more. When they came out I was surprised to see them wearing what must be the best pyjamas I’ve ever seen! What a fun outfit idea for a photography session! I love the lively and fun sleepover vibe of their pyjama photos.
