Ottawa Newborn Photography | A sister! A sweet baby sister has arrived for these proud big brothers and she couldn’t be any cuter. I photographed both big brothers as newborns themselves and was thrilled for this lovely family to be welcoming baby #3.
Baby N arrived a bit early so she ended up being my last session before the holidays, their newborn session was a wonderful way to close off 2021.
Ottawa Newborn sessions with older siblings are a lively and fun event. Newborns are always on their own unique sleeping and feeding schedule so when you combine that challenge with busy big brothers or sisters I always look for just the right balance of play and calmness in the studio to keep everyone happy and engaged. These big brothers did so well at their sister’s newborn session! They were loving and sweet with Baby N and showed off their baby sister with pride and smiles.
After lots of cuddles and snuggling up to Baby N we wrapped up the family and sibling photos portion of the session and her big brothers headed out of the studio. With the heat turned up and all of my cuddly wraps and props ready I turned my camera to the star of the day for newborn portraits of Baby N. With her hair already so long and full I couldn’t help but pull out a couple of more headbands than I’d planned. Mom and dad had selected a wonderful variety of colours for Baby N’s session that I styled into her accessories and fabrics. The mix of rich, saturated colours along with light neutrals was perfect for creating a gallery full of variety for this beautiful little girl’s newborn photos.
These Ottawa Newborn Photos were taken during an Extraordinary Newborn Session (includes photos ‘in props’, on the posing cushion’ and family/sibling photos)
