Maternity Photos on a Snowy Trail: A snow covered trail in Ottawa is a great place to explore but it’s also a beautiful setting for a maternity session. I met up with these lovely first time parents for their session on a December afternoon to help them capture that special time in the lead up to their baby’s arrival. Those last few weeks before baby is born is filled with to-do lists and anxious anticipation but it’s important to also take time together to celebrate all that is ahead of you and enjoy making memories that will be the start of your family’s story.
We started off the couple’s maternity session with casual and candid photos of them together on the trail. Some of my clients prefer the more posed type of photos and some prefer more of a candid feel to their sessions; capturing the couple enjoying time together was ideal for this cheery couple’s photos together.
The gorgeous mama-to-be had found beautiful dresses for her session in the snow including a stunning burgundy gown that was perfect for her maternity photos of just herself and her upcoming arrival. I had such a wonderful time in the forest with the two of them and am so excited to meet their baby soon for their first photos as a family of three.
