I have photographed many, many different types of pets over the years but photographing chickens at a session was a brand new experience for me. What a blast we had out in the field with these clucky birds!
I knew keeping chickens is a great way to keep a family rich in eggs but I was surprised by how much fun they are and what great companions they can be too. I met up with these kiddos and their chickens at their home in the country at the end of the Summer for an impromptu session with their feathered friends. The children loved showing off their new friends to me and my camera and I got to learn a little bit about the challenges of posing for photos with chickens. The chickens were hilarious and keen to be on the move but we captured lots of great moments and shared so many laughs.
