When you just can’t decide which kind of Summer maternity session is your favourite why not try a little of both?

I met up with this gorgeous mama-to-be and her family at the beach for a session at a time of day when we could take advantage of both the beautiful, warm light of the evening and also the dramatic sunset of the August sun.

While the sun was still rather high we played along the water’s edge and posed for photos together of this soon to be family of four. The beach makes what is usually an already exciting and fun session experience particularly thrilling for older siblings. We made sure big brother had lots of chances to run and play as I was photographing mom on her own; he did a great job cuddling up for photos with mom and dad when it was his turn.

At the end of their session as the sun started to drop, we moved away from the water to capture them in silhouette together with their growing baby. The captures of them with their upcoming arrival are so special and beautiful. I’m so excited for this lovely family and can’t wait to meet their newest family member soon!
