I look forward to these magical sessions all year long. The glowing sun and earlier sunsets of late August provides us with one of the most unique and stunning backdrops for family photos of the entire year.

The conditions for these sessions are rather particular as the timing and the sky conditions have to be just right but the photos are always worth it. The magic of the silhouette means that rather than using facial expressions to capture emotion we use movement and actions to express ourselves. The silhouettes of children running towards parents, children jumping for joy, and family members holding hands all become a beautiful way to display and celebrate families’ relationships and their children’s personalities.
