I met these first time parents right at the end of Winter at their maternity session and was looking forward to meeting their little girl at their newborn session.
The provincial shutdown meant our session was a little later than we had planned but I was so excited that I was able to reopen, at least outdoors, in time for their little one’s newborn session.
With the studio still closed, we held their entire newborn session outdoors. It wasn’t quite what we had first planned but the outdoors made a gorgeous backdrop for their first photos together with their daughter.
They are head over heels in love with baby L and she couldn’t be any sweeter. The warm Spring air we had was perfect for a cuddly session with their baby girl.
This has been a good year for learning how to make things work so in lieu of being able to use my indoor studio, I brought the studio outdoors with me so that we could recreate the look of studio photos but outdoors within the new guidelines.
The outdoor setup worked brilliantly and sweet little Miss L curled up peacefully on my posing cushion for me to take her photos. I’m so glad I was able to meet her and photograph her while she was still so small.
