This session is one of my favourite springtime traditions!
Every Spring I get to see this lovely family for our traditional birthday session. Our tradition started with Miss J’s newborn session and became her annual birthday session but last year I was overjoyed to add her baby sister to our yearly tradition.
Somehow baby E is already one year old and it was time to expand the celebration. Time really does fly by that first year of a baby’s life!
At 5 years old Miss J is looking so much older all of a sudden, she loved showing me how tall she had gotten since I’d seen her last.
The girls brought some of their favourite toys and books with them to their session. Including favourite things in birthday sessions is such a special way to remember a child’s likes and interests. Children change so quickly when they’re little, I’m looking forward to seeing what the girls bring with them next year.
After family and birthday photos it was time for photos of the girls with their dad in his uniform. I took newborn photos of both girls with their dad in uniform and it has been wonderful recreating the photos every year since. I hope that this is a tradition that they continue forever!
