This annual session is one my favourite yearly traditions. I have been photographing these girls since before they were born, starting with big sister’s maternity session. At her newborn session, dad brought along his firefighter boots for me to photograph her in and the rest, as they say, is history.
Dad has brought his boots back to the studio many times since then for big sister’s first birthday photos, little sister’s newborn photos, and then every year since for an updated birthday photo of each sister wearing Dad’s boots. This has been such a wonderful way to capture their growth every year and I can’t believe how fast time is going by when I look at their photos altogether.
I never could have imagined at that first newborn session what a wonderful tradition we had started but I am so grateful to be a part of it as it is something I look forward to every Winter.
