I love Winter sunshine, how the snow is the perfect backdrop for any outfit you wear, how we have to move around and be silly to stay warm, and how gorgeous outdoor family sessions are at this time of year!
Winter is often overlooked as an option for outdoor family photos but it provides one of the most beautiful backdrops for photos that can be displayed year round (in colour and black and white).
My outdoor sessions are short and sweet, which means we get beautiful photos without having to spend a lot of time outside and getting chilly. Older kids often don’t mind taking their coats off for a few minutes, while younger ones are happy to wear colourful hats and mitts to play with their parents in the snow.
Red noses and fingers are never a concern, since they can be adjusted in editing and because families are often home more in the Winter, it’s easier to schedule sessions, especially for older kids who aren’t as busy with activities and sports.
