A maternity session is something I never had with my first two boys but I am so glad to have booked a session when expecting my third son. The photos I have from that special time are something I will forever treasure!

Once baby arrives, time suddenly seems to speed up. Those quiet moments together spent in anticipation in the lead up to your first baby’s arrival quickly becomes just a fond memory to look back on.

This lovely couple is expecting their first baby in just a short time and I’m so excited for them to be holding their baby in their arms soon.
In early September, one of my favourite backdrops for photos are the beautiful apple trees with their small but colourful fruit. In Ottawa we are lucky to have so many mature and gorgeous trees in our green spaces so it’s something I love to take advantage of for sessions. This happy couple was a pleasure to photograph, we had such an enjoyable first session together. We started their maternity session off with casual photos of the two of them together in between the apple trees. We then mixed up their session a bit by having mom change into one of my maternity gowns for some of her photos. I love how well the backdrop worked for both fun, casual photos of the two of them together but also for some really gorgeous photos of the mama-to-be in one of my favourite gowns. It was such a pleasure to meet them both and to help them to capture this exciting time in their lives.
