I first met this amazing big sister at her own newborn session and I couldn’t wait to “meet” her brand new baby sister at her own virtual newborn session. Just three weeks after this cutie arrived her mom and I met up over video conferencing for their session at their home. We’ve had many sessions together but this was the first one we had together with mom taking the photos and myself in a coaching role. Virtual newborn sessions are the perfect solution for many families with physical distancing guidelines still in place and mom did an amazing job taking the photos!
In the lead up to their session we worked out where in their home would be best to take their photos and the different poses we would take so that on the day of their session both mom and I were ready to go.

We started their virtual session with photos of the sisters together. I had just recently seen big sister in person at their maternity session and she couldn’t wait to show off her brand new baby to me over video. She was more than happy to hold little Miss B for us.
Before incorporating their favourite wraps and accessories we made sure to capture all of baby’s little details, she has such adorable chubby cheeks! Mom then wrapped her up for photos of Miss B swaddled in pink. She is clearly a baby that loves being cozy because she gave us lots of sleep smiles once bundled up.
We finished up this fun virtual session with overhead shots of little Miss B in just the right position and lighting so that I could create two special composite pieces once mom sent me all of her image files for me to edit. These special newborn art pieces are a popular addition to my studio sessions and I’m thrilled I can still create them even when we’re physically distancing.
This session was a wonderful experience for all of us and I am thrilled with the results of our team effort. I look forward to meeting this cutie in person soon!
