I had been looking forward to meeting this sweetie for months! We have been having our traditional yearly photoshoot together ever since their first daughter was born but this year was to be extra special with their newest addition joining us.

The beautiful warm weather meant we were able to meet outdoors for their first photos as a family of four when little Miss E was only a week old. I can’t tell you how happy I am for all the gorgeous weather and beautiful backdrops Mother Nature has been providing this Summer.

We met up bright and early to take best advantage of the beautiful morning light and started preparing their little one for her photos. Mom and Dad are old pros at this now and did a great job wrapping Miss E in my newborn wraps with only guidance from me as I coached them from a distance.

We started their session with updated family photos making sure everyone also had a turn to for photos with baby alone. Big sister was especially excited for her turn with her baby, she is already such an amazing big sister and so very proud. But what made the day even more exciting was the chance to celebrate her 4th birthday with some special photos of just her. Every Spring since Miss J was born I have been taking her birthday portraits for her and it has been a joy to watch her grow and be a part of her traditions. One of my favorite traditions for her birthday session is taking photos of her with dad in his uniform. This year little sister joined them for their special photos and I’m excited to see that the tradition will now continue with her too.

We finished up the session with beautiful photos of just Miss E on her own while she happily snoozed away all cuddled up in my props and newborn fabrics before moving her to a special family quilt. She was an absolute darling to photograph and I can’t wait to see her again!
