All of my sessions are a collaboration with my clients but with physical distancing in place sessions have become even more of a team effort.

This cutie is Miss M and I had the privilege of helping her family create their own beautiful newborn photos, but from afar!

This Spring the restrictions on in person photography sessions meant that there were many disappointed new parents who missed out on capturing their little one at their smallest. But I am thrilled that technology has allowed me to continue helping families capture their special memories by bringing me virtually into their homes through video conferencing technology.

Mom and Dad took all of the photos as I coached them through the poses, lighting, and settings on their camera and they did an incredible job!

Little M’s parents chose a light and airy look for their photos that was perfect for keeping the focus on their family’s interactions and their little one’s tiny details. We made sure to include photos of everyone with their newest addition. Big sister had a great time during our virtual session and did such a great job listening and posing with her baby sister. I love that I can connect and play with little ones through video, it’s not quite the same as being in person but it’s pretty close!

After their session mom and dad sent me all of their unedited photos and I got to work retouching, editing, and artistically enhancing them to get as close as possible to a professional in-home newborn session quality gallery. As a part of their session mom and dad chose three digital backdrops that I combined through editing with the photos they took for really unique and special art pieces that they can use to decorate their little girl’s nursery with or put in her baby album. This family was a joy to collaborate with and I’m thrilled that we were able to work together to create such a beautiful gallery of photographs marking this very special time in their family’s lives.
