This Summer I am thrilled to be offering special outdoor newborn sessions for the Summertime baby and their family. Over the last few months expectant parents have greatly felt the loss of many of the typical experiences of pregnancy and birth. But with the arrival of the warm weather and carefully planned distanced newborn sessions families in Ottawa no longer have to miss out on the experience of having a newborn session while their baby is still at their smallest. Held on the backdrop of wildflowers, green grass, or the beautiful forest these sessions are perfect for capturing beautiful memories from such an exciting time in families’ lives.
This sweet little one came for her newborn session with her family when she was just 10 days old. She was an absolute darling to photograph and already has such alert eyes and a variety of facial expressions that she showed off to the camera.
For their photos together, mom and dad wrapped her up in one of my newborn fabrics. With physical distancing in place right now my newborn sessions are much more of a “team sport” than ever before. My teaching experience is now coming in handy in more places than just my photography classes as I guide new parents in wrapping and posing their little ones.
These experienced parents were pros at prepping little Miss S and once she was ready we started with their first photos as a family of four. Miss S had a turn snuggling up with mom and dad on her own before having photos with just big brother. At only 2 years old big brother did an amazing job for his photos, we had a lot of fun together!
The warm evening air and mom and dad’s beautiful wrapping technique soothed Miss S off to dreamland so we took the opportunity to photograph her in different colours of wraps and accessories as well as in different props before she woke back up for some beautiful shots of her bright eyes.
