How can you not smile looking at this beautiful little girl surrounded by bright, cheerful colours?
Little Miss A. came in for her newborn session during the great baby boom of January 2020. I have never had so many newborns come visit me in a January before! Cuddling and posing babies in my warm studio was such a wonderful way to spend a very cold month.
For their baby’s first photos, mom and dad chose to have them taken on my posing cushion. The posing cushion is a great option for classic and sweet photos of babies and perfect for capturing all of their tiny features and details. Miss A. loved the warmth in the studio and was happily soothed off to dreamland on the soft cushion.
Mom and dad had travelled to Mexico previously and were using some of the art and objects they brought home with them to decorate their nursery. When selecting their fabric and accessory colours for their session they drew from these objects as inspiration and I adore how all of the colours came together as a backdrop for their sweet little one’s photos. They even had a tiny newborn sized stuffie for Miss A. to cuddle with for one of her photos.
With Miss A. nice and warm and sleepy she was more than happy to transition to many different fabric colours and positions during her session. It’s amazing how just a slight position change allowed me to capture even more of this cutie’s features; from her long eyelashes, to her cupid’s bow lips, to her tiny toes. For being just a week old she had impressively squishy cheeks that I definitely had to make sure to show off. The photos of her hands up by her cheeks are absolutely adorable!
