As a mom of three boys I have a special place in my heart for families who also have three sons so I was thrilled for this family to hear that their new baby was another boy. These boys are going to have so much fun growing up together! I’ve been fortunate to photograph this lovely family many times including at their maternity session this Summer and at each of their sons’ newborn sessions. The older boys were so much fun during their maternity session and were so excited for their little sibling to arrive so I knew we were going to have a lot of fun at their upcoming newborn session.
After getting to know this family rather well over the last few years and meeting their boys so soon after their births I was surprised when I pulled off little Mr. L’s hat and he looked so different from his big brothers already with a gorgeous head of dark hair. It’s so fun to see every baby’s uniqueness at their newborn session, Mr. L clearly takes after dad!

After their first family photo as a family of five the boys each had a turn cuddling up to their baby brother and all together as brothers. How they beamed with pride as they held their little brother was a really special moment at their session. They are going to be incredible big brothers!
Once the family and sibling photos were all done we said goodbye to Mr. L’s big brothers and turned the focus of the session to the star of the day. For Mr. L’s individual photos, his parents chose to have him photographed in props. I selected a variety of different props that worked beautifully with the colours they selected for their little one’s fabrics. They selected a really fun and colourful colour palette for their session from really neutral and soft greys to vibrant oranges, yellows, greens, and blues. Mr. L looked adorable in all of the wraps we had ready for him and very sweetly snuggled into all of the props posing like a champ for his first session. It’s always a joy to see this family and I can’t wait to see the boys together as they grow up!
