Remember their maternity session on the beach? I was so excited to welcome them into the studio for their sweet little one’s newborn session.

I loved the energy and exuberance of big brother and sister when I first met them on the beach and the excitement they had on the morning of their little sister’s newborn session did not disappoint. They were so proud to show off their little sister!
We started little Miss I’s newborn session with all of their first family photos together before capturing everyone individually with their brand new addition to their family. Seeing the expressions on their faces as they snuggled up next to her is one of the most heartwarming parts of my job. This sweet little girl is already loved so much.
After being photographed with all of her family members it was time for Miss I’s portraits. I always like to photograph families at the beginning of their newborn session so they can soon relax and put their feet up. Having a newborn at home means there are not usually many moments to take it easy so sitting back and watching their new baby being posed, soothed to sleep, and photographed is always an enjoyable time.

For Miss I’s session, mom and dad chose a beautiful and soft colour palette. They preferred a more classic and understated look to their photos so we kept the accessories and fabrics rather simple which worked really well and kept the focus on all of Miss I’s tiny little features.
While Miss I snoozed on the posing cushion I moved in for some close ups of her. Babies change so incredibly quickly in those first few days and weeks after birth so I love photographing baby’s curled up eyelashes, puckered lips, and their tiny little fingers and toes so that mom and dad can always remember just what their little one looked like soon after they were born. This adorable little girl and her lovely family was a joy to photograph and I feel honoured to have been able to help capture these very special memories for them.
