This family knew they wanted a lifestyle feel for their first family photos together and the studio bed set was perfect for helping to create just the right look for their session! For a family that would like to include capturing a piece of everyday life with their new baby as a part of their session I recommend the studio bed set as a backdrop. When your baby is new and little much of your time is spent holding and cuddling them so it’s so nice to have beautiful photos of this fleeting stage together.
After focusing on the sweet moments with mom and dad they were able to sit down and relax and watch as I photographed little Mr. W on his own. The pace of newborn sessions is quite different than with a lot of other sessions as much of the session is spent soothing and relaxing baby into poses. This means that mom and dad are also able to relax and chat as I continue working with their new baby. For a tired, new parent this can be a much needed break!
For Mr. W’s newborn portraits I styled his session to include several types of photos so that his parents could have a variety of photos for his baby books including photos in Dad’s hands, sweet and sleepy photos on the posing cushion, a photo curled up in a prop, and also a beautiful shot of little W hanging peacefully from a branch. Or at least appearing as if he’s hanging from a branch! I took little W’s photo safely on the posing cushion and then combined it with another photo of the branch after his session to create a gorgeous piece of art that is perfect for displaying in their home.
