A few weeks before Violette’s birth, I had a nice chat with one of my best friends from Montreal. Being a third child herself, she told me to take lots of pictures of baby because as baby number 3, her parents didn’t take as many pictures of her when she was little as they did with her sisters. She also told me to remember to take pictures of baby alone because she said that she has very few pictures of herself without her two sisters. A few days later, two of my friends sent me that same email about Sara’s newborn photo sessions. I saw it as a sign. I hadn’t thought about doing a newborn photoshoot, but then I remembered my conversation with my friend and decided of doing a family photoshoot, including a few pictures of baby alone. I had very little expectations about the photoshoot with 3 little kids and all. I find it very hard to take family portraits with everybody looking at the camera, let alone smiling at the camera. I’m amazed at how well it went and at how well the pictures turned out.
