“We’re celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this summer and wanted to have Sara take an updated photo of our family. The photo location at the gardens is right across the street from the place our engagement photos were taken, so we thought this would be the perfect place for our anniversary photos. We booked a slightly longer photo session this time, as both our daughters have gone through phases of being camera shy over the years and we wanted to be sure to allow extra time for that. But they were much more comfortable in front of the camera and the result was photos that capture our oldest daughter’s scrunchy nose smile and the bright sparkle our youngest daughter’s eyes have when she is happy. And while I always tend to choose a photo of our girls as my favourite image from each session, this time around I’m choosing the photo of Matt and I. The light in the photo is just beautiful and is exactly what I hoped for when we originally booked a photo session in the evening. But what I love most about this photo is that it reminds me we are celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary a little older, a bit grayer, definitely wiser, quite sleep deprived, but most importantly, happy together.”
