Have you already begun to turn your thoughts to holiday gift giving? In my business, and personal life, when ordering prints or photo gifts, I know to give myself plenty of time to account for not only the decision making process (what will I order?), but also the printing and shipping time.

Now is the time to start planning out your gift list if you are turning your family photos into a fantastic gift for family or friends. For my own clients, now is the time to research your gift giving options now, and when your gallery is complete and ordered, you’ll be all set!

Here are a few ideas for photo gifts:

1- Canvases

There is something beautiful and special about hanging a canvas of the kids or your family on the wall. This makes a great gift for your spouse, the grandparents, or the aunt and uncle who aren’t able to visit as often as everyone would like!

2- Framed Photos

Buy a simple, but stunning photo (I love the options at IKEA) and print your favourite photo to place inside. Not only can the photo be swapped out as the kids get older, but the frame itself makes a lovely gift.

3- Brag Book

Who doesn’t love looking back through photos that cover the course of the year and remember those special moments? Many of our own parents would appreciate the ability to look at a book with family pictures rather than just scrolling through Facebook. They may pull out their own photo albums to show the kids too!

4- Photo Mug

You can get creative and have some fun with a photo mug. There are different options including a typical ceramic mug or a travel mug.

5- Photo Journal of a Special Trip

Did your family celebrate a special trip this year? Create a book that focuses just on that. You can print them with a service, or print the photos and scrapbook the memories along with tickets from your flights, brochures from places you visited and more!

6- Photo Ornament

Mark the year and the occasion with a photo ornament. Grab a family photo, or one of the kids and every year you can add a new addition to the tree!

7- Calendar

These are always popular with family members! Create a 2017 calendar by using pictures from 2016 and this year and relive some special moments while thinking ahead to the ones you’ll be creating next year!
