What will you remember most about your your kids during the baby and toddler years?

“This session was so important to us because Annie was 6 months old. Being my second child, I just don’t have the time to capture all her milestones on film like I had with my first. I have far fewer photos of Annie (and I’m not a great photographer, so those that I do have are often of dubious quality). It’s great to have this photo of her as she just turned 6 months – she’s just learned to sit on her own, and her first two teeth have pushed through.

What I loved most about the session was stepping back and letting the kids be themselves. We got some great shots of the kids being themselves – which is exactly what we were hoping for. If I could only pick one favourite photograph, it would be Annie is staring up at her big brother with admiration and intrigue, and William is gently kissing his baby sister.

This photo captures the beautiful dynamic between gentle older brother and adoring younger sister. I’d also like to give an honourable mention to this one, which we call the toddler shuffle.

I know that we’ll look back on this photo over years to come and laugh. How can you not love the unsteady toddler run/shuffle? It was captured perfectly!”
