In my welcome package to clients I talk about why family photos are important to me but also about the expectations we have of our children and ourselves for photography sessions. This mama summed up how I feel perfectly: “Our children are a precious miracle. A precious, active, amazing, chaotic miracle. The only constant thing we can count on is the passing of time. We choose to capture the imperfection of their perfection through Sara’s lens. The moments are forever captured in time and we have wonderful memory to treasure forever. I will always smile when I see the picture that would have been perfect except for the hair or shirt or whatever. These imperfections are what truly capture who my family is now, which is what I want to remember when I see them.
