I am so excited to meet this little one in February! I first photographed this family two years ago in the bitter cold of winter, outside I might add, for their amazing maternity session when they were expecting baby L (the sweet toddler in these photos!) The photo we have of her as a newborn tucked inside her dad’s firefighter boot are still some of my all time favourites. It is such a huge honour to be asked to photograph these life changing milestones and I’m so grateful I got to photograph them together as a family of three before baby makes four!

With L, we recreated the pose of her in her dad’s firefighter gear on her first birthday and it was so much fun to see how much she had changed; growing from a curled up newborn in one boot to standing with a leg in each boot.  These moments, where there’s a personal connection to a prop, a continued story being told at each photo session, are some of my favourites.

These stunning images of the three of them make me smile just looking at them.
