One of my favourite parts of my job is getting to meet so many amazing families as they welcome new family members and help them to capture those early first days together. This lovely family has brought their little ones into my studio for every one of their son’s newborn photos so I was incredibly relieved when I was able to reopen after the provincial shutdown just in time for their fourth son’s newborn session.

With the studio still closed, we met up outdoors for their first family of six photos together. The proud big brothers were so excited for their session and to introduce me to their new baby brother. The older boys had grown so much since I’d seen them last year and we had lots to catch up on.

The resemblance of Mr. E to his older brothers as newborns was striking! I could see it being a challenge to tell whose baby’s photos are who’s on the wall one day so we made sure to choose colours for his wraps that were different from his brothers.

Seeing all four of their wonderful boys in their laps melted my heart; I’m so happy for them to have welcomed their sweet little one to their family.

After family photos and after everyone had a turn posing with baby E the older boys were free to head home.

With the studio closed, I took my newborn studio outdoors temporarily so that I could photograph the new arrival on his own. Thankfully we were treated to an unseasonably warm Spring making it possible to photograph Mr E in props and on my posing cushion just like I had done for all of his brothers.

He was such a delight to photograph, he settled into the sweetest poses and I loved being able to photograph all of his adorable little details. This outdoor session was not what we had originally planned but I’m thrilled with the photos and so happy we were able to find a way to make their fourth newborn session work.

What a wonderful first session back! I’m overjoyed for this lovely family and can’t wait to see them again.
